WASHINGTON The the Center for Science in the Public Interest has added two forms of caramel color to its hit list of food colors claiming that caramel coloring used in Coca-Cola Pepsi and other foods is contaminated with two cancer-causing chemicals and should be banned. The CSPI filed a to bar the use of caramel colorings produced with ammonia and containing the carcinogens 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole and revoke the two colorants GRAS Generally Regarded as Safe status. Currently the Code of Federal Regulations says caramel may be safely used for coloring foods generally in amounts consistent with good manufacturing practice and does not distinguish between the four different .

Food and Drug Administration to prohibit what it says is carcinogenic caramel coloring that is not real caramel but synthetic chemical caramel .The caramel coloring used in Coca-Cola Pepsi and other foods is contaminated with two cancer-causing chemicals and should be banned according to a by the Center for Science in the Public Interest..In contrast to the caramel one might make at home by melting sugar in a saucepan the artificial brown coloring in colas and some other products is made by reacting sugars with ammonia and sulfites under high pressure and temperatures. The FDA should act quickly to revoke its approval of caramel colorings made with ammonia. .Federal regulations distinguish among four types of two of which are produced with ammonia and two without it. The type used in colas and other dark soft drinks is known as Caramel IV or ammonia sulfite process caramel.

Call me crazy, but it sounds alot like what their doing to Carlos Coy (South Park Mexican).
They tryed destroying his image or at least they did for the most part.
Than they put him in prison for those bullshit charges,am i right.
hes doing 45 years with no hope of ever getting out.
I would like to see one of these documintation reports on SPM is it possible?
